StarCraft Ghost Costume - Rifle Progress

Not much to report on this one. As you can see, my Nerf Longstrike doesn't bear much resemblance to the C-20 Canister Rifle or AGR-14 or Bosun FN92. And it won't look exactly like any of them when I finish, but hopefully it will be reminiscent of them.

All the bottom images belong to Blizzard.

So far all I have done is paint the Nerf, but that in itself was a lot of work. I had to disassemble it, prime it twice, and paint it twice. Also, after assembling it, I have three parts left. It still functions. I don't understand. :/ I can't find the missing parts anywhere in the photos I took of the innards, or in anyone else's disassembly photos/guides.
