Done! Well, sort of. I still have to make a mold of it in silicone and see if I can make a decent resin cast. If I can get it to work, I can make myself some nifty unicorn Christmas ornaments.
It is about 3.5" from tip of horn to rear hoof. It is made of wax. The horn is a ground-down brad.
Great thing about wax is that you can always re-pose it. My progress is this horse.

You weren't kidding, this looks superb! What kind of wax did you use, it looks extremely pliant 
In the past for casting I have always used clay and alganate (sp?) never could get ahold of some silicone 
will be cool to see how these turn out as ornaments
